The Kali Gandaki River is one of the major rivers of Nepal and also important tributary of the Ganges in India. Kali Gandaki River originates in the upper Mustang region at an altitude of 3,900 m (12,795 ft). Originating from Mustang region the river flows down with great speed through the world deepest George Kali Gandaki George situated in between the Dhaulagiri (8167 m) to the west and Annapurna (8091 m) to the east.

Kali Gandaki River rafting starts from the Beni which is the take in point for the rafting trip. You will have to drive for about 4 hrs from Pokhara to reach Beni. In Kaligandaki river rafting you raft 72km along the river within which you encounter 60 different rapids. You raft through the pristine forests, beautiful scenery and villages situated alongside of the river. Some of the rapid you will face in this trip are Little Brother’, ‘Big Brother’, ‘Rafters Refund’, ‘walk in the Dark. The take out point for the Kali Gandaki river rafting is in a confluence of Beni Ghat. This place also has a religious importance in Hinduism. Kali Gandaki River rafting do not require previous rafting experience, only you need is healthy body and determination.

Day 1 : Drive from Pokhara to Beni

After having breakfast in Pokhara you drive to Beni for around 4 hours. En route you will enjoy the beautiful scene of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks as well as the Machapuchare or Fishtail Mountain. Upon arrival, on Beni briefing will be done and then you will get ready with the required gears and equipments. You will start your 3 days rafting trip from here. On the very first day you will encounter the class III rapids and 2 big class 4 rapids i.e. ‘Small Brother’ and ‘Big Brother’. Very Soon after encountering these two big rapids you will reach the Modi Khola confluence where we stop our rafting for the day and choose the beach for the evening campsite.

Day 2 : Whole Day Rafting and Rest Purti Ghat

After having done with your breakfast you pack your raft and equipments and start the adventure. En route today you will get to enjoy the spectacular view of Annapurna I and Himchuli and pass through the lush vegetation hanging on the cliff of the mountains. You will also encounter the class III sections and the challenging class IV rapid named REFUND. Today you stop rafting at beach near a village of Purti Ghat where you make a camp for night.

Day 3 : Rafting and Back to Pokhara

After having done with your breakfast you pack your raft and equipments and start the adventure very soon you will reach the Holy village of Seti Beni. This confluence of the Beni Ghat is also considered as the holy place is the take out point for the Kali Gandaki River rafting. From here you pack up your equipment and take a bus back to Pokhara.
